Ministry Partner Guidelines

The following guidelines reflect our commitment to provide a safe and secure environment for every child and volunteer who participates with Elevate. This section is confidential and only visible by church staff.

All volunteers shall confess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and be a regular attender of Morning Star Fellowship.

All volunteers are to observe the 3 person rule. For the safety of you and children under our care, you are NEVER to be alone with a child in an isolated area under ANY circumstance.

PA law requires volunteers to immediately report any behavior which seems abusive or inappropriate, or any incident of that nature reported by a child, to the Children's Pastor. The volunteer will also be required to report that information to Childline.

When an allegation of abuse is brought to the attention of the staff, it will be reported to outside authorities (Childline and the police). The volunteer accused will not be allowed to serve during the investigation.

I authorize Morning Star Fellowship to complete background checks about me. These reports may include my driving history, a social security number verification, present and former addresses, criminal and civil history/records, and the state and/or national sex offender records.

Please note that if you have lived outside of PA at any point in the last 10 years (incuding college), you will need to have an FBI fingerprint background check completed before you can serve in M-Star Students. This is due to a new PA law that went into effect in July 2015.
